I tend to talk a lot. I also tend to laugh a lot, so people frequently forgive me for talking too much. Occasionally they don't. I also moderate panels and chair conferences and things and pop up on radio and TV progammes. I generally approach this sort of thing with a view to having fun and letting the audience have fun too. When I'm moderating or chairing sessions, this is often at the expense of speakers, but they're a resilient lot in general.
- I'm talking at The Archive on Wednesday 6th Feb about how to write a book. Not that I know how to do it particularly well, necessarily but the session's free, so stop complaining. It's part of a four workshop series - more information here.
- I'm talking at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature in Dubai early March - I'm moderating two sessions and being lightly grilled onstage as part of the main programme. More information here!
- I'll be onstage again at the end of March for ArabNet in Beirut, which is from the 20th-22nd March 2013. I really, really enjoy ArabNet... More information here!
